HELP! Many Volunteers Needed For The Race: During the race week volunteers are needed to do various shifts at the Club. Please sign up for time shifts that suit you on the rosters on Pineapple Cup Notice Board at the Club: Volunteer as a Duty Officer (you meet & greet the vessel on arrival amongst a few other things. A fun job.) Volunteer to man the VHF Radio (you communicate with the Finish Line and the vessel approaching it. Exciting!) Volunteer to man the Information Centre (the Nerve of everything). Volunteer to Host A Boat. (A Host greets the boat on arrival, and is that one special person in a sea of strange faces that the crew of a boat can zoom in on. A host can be as helpful to the boat as he or she wants to be. Just be friendly. Maybe help them with a ride to the supermarket. Anything.) The race is a lot more fun when you become involved with it. Let us honour the tradition of this classic race which lends international credibility to this club.
